​I am an expert program manager with proven success building and strengthening corporate programs ranging from corporate supplier diversity to community affairs/foundation projects.  Superior communication and relationship management skills with experience delivering results to all levels of the organization and interacting one on one or presenting to large groups.  The ability to lead and collaborate internally and externally to form long-term solutions and relationships which create significant value for the organization.

Relationship development/management

  • Established and managed relationships with national and local nonprofits, suppliers, and a variety of internal/external constituents. 
  • Served in leadership positons on nonprofit boards of directors and committees.  Directed all aspects of the relationship.  Where appropriate negotiated participation rates to optimize corporate participation.
  • Built relationships with Aetna/Levi Strauss suppliers.  Served as a mentor to suppliers providing and interested in providing services to the company.  Counseled on pitch, presentation and uncovering potential opportunities. 
  • Investigated potential issues with current diverse suppliers, and mediated between parties to achieve a mutual agreement.

 

Program/project management

  • Built and developed supplier diversity programs for two corporations.  Integrated processes that supported the program and expansion of the corporate brand among diverse markets.
  • Created, and implemented a multi-year plan to achieve strategic corporate goals. Updated plan annually to ensure alignment between corporate priorities and to leverage limited resources.
  • Established and led a cross-functional team that set and drove diversity objectives for the corporation.  Worked collaboratively across business functions and levels to create and maintain metrics for program success which resulted in year over year improvements.
  • Bench-marked Supplier Diversity program with other corporate Supplier Diversity programs and customer requirements to determine priorities.   As a result of research, expanded program to include a full spectrum of diverse categories and program requirements.  Additional expansions included impacts to reporting, scholarship, training, mentoring/supplier development and communications components. 



Marketing/brand development

  • Created an integrated marketing plan that supported and in increased the corporate brand.
  • Elements included:  physical and virtual marketing collateral. Internal/external websites, brochures, trade show booth design, magazine articles and advertisements. 
  • Strategy was utilized to build Aetna’s brand through Supplier Diversity internally and externally.
  • Data analysis/metric development:
  • Aligned objectives with corporate metrics.  Measured performance monthly. 
  • o Created reports delivered to employees from individual contributors to executives and the board of directors.



Sponsorship/event management

  • Set annual strategy for event participation.  Managed company presence at local and national conferences.  Responsible for all logistical details and networking with suppliers, corporations and affinity groups.
  • Events ranged from board participation, annual dinner sponsorship, conference agenda/ speaker coordination and trade show participation.
  • Collaborated with other business areas to ensure appropriate employee attendance/ participation consistent brand message, and optimum value to participation
  • Co-managed national company United Way Campaign for 10,000 employees that raised $2 million for national and local community agencies.
